Through high academic standards for membership, scholarship opportunities, and study hours, fraternities and sororities challenge members to promote a solid academic foundation. Additionally, fraternity and sorority members consistantly achieve a higher GPA than non-members, and studies have indicated that members of fraternities and sororities are more likely to obtain a degree than non-affiliated students.
